Sample Fishing Itinerary with Adventure and LuxuryWhy do we say your fishing itinerary could be an adventure luxury vacation in tropical Panama? Well, you probably imagined that all Central American fishing spots are pretty crude...but it ain't so. Here's a sample land-based itinerary offering comfort and luxury, combined with the adventure of jungle and coast. You'll be content and well-rested for every day of your fishing vacation. You can stay at a great resort right on the beach, in your own private cottage, enjoy tropical Panama and have a great offshore fishing trip every day. Sample Fishing Itinerary: When you arrive at Tocumen Airport, you will have to clear immigration so please don't forget your passport. You will also need a tourist visa ($5.00) which you can easily purchase at Tocumen. Depending on what time you arrive at Tocumen, you may be able to grab a flight to David the same day. The last flight from Panama City leaves around 4:00 pm with either Aeroperlas or Air Panama. 
From Tocumen to Panama City (or Albrook Airport), take a cab which will cost you $30. From one airport to the other is approximately 30 minutes apart. If there are more than two of you, you may have an additional charge of up to $10. per person. If your flight arrives at Tocumen after 1:00 pm, you will have to overnight in Panama City. Panama City is often very busy with conventions and conferences, so the hotels book up quickly. It would be wise for you to arrange your hotel well in advance. Click here for a list of hotels and resorts While you are in the city, take advantage of some of the exquisite restaurants, see the Panama Canal, go shopping along Via Espana or check out the beautiful new Multiplaza.
When you reach David, you will be greeted by a Go-Panama-Fishing representative. With this fishing itinerary, the representative will take you for a picturesque 1-1/2 hr. drive through tropical Panama to Boca Chica. In Boca Chica, SAILFISH 1 and its English-speaking captain will be waiting for you. You will depart immediately for your first full day offshore fishing trip.
A simple breakfast will be waiting on board. In the meantime, your luggage will be securely and safely placed in your cottage at the hotel by the Go-Panama-Fishing representative. At the end of a great day of fishing, SAILFISH 1 will drop you off at the hotel dock. You proceed to your air-conditioned cottage, take in some CNN, check internet if you bring your laptop, take a swim or shower, or just relax and enjoy the views of the Panama oceanfront before dinner. More than likely, you and your buddies will head to the bar, to swap exaggerated fishing stories. After happy hour, you all enjoy a fabulous dinner. Then, your evening will be topped off with a good night's rest, ready for the next day's adventure!
Days 2 & 3 or 2 to 5: Action-packed fishing excitement for the next two days or four days, depending on how many days you picked for your fishing itinerary. For the 3-day package, one day of your offshore fishing trip will be at the famous Hannibal Banks or Montuosa Island (2 days for the 5-day package), one day fishing near the islands of Secas or Ladrones (2 days for the 5-day package), and the last day will be inshore for prize roosterfish, tarpon, snook, bass, jacks, etc. When you fish closer to shore, the surrounding islands expose you to the real flavor of tropical Panama. 
Day 4 or 6: After a good night's sleep, you will be driven to the airport in David to catch the early flight back to Panama City. If your flight home leaves early in the morning, you will stay at a hotel in Panama City to be fresh for departure the following morning.This sample itinerary will leave you with a very memorable adventure luxury vacation and offshore fishing trip.
