Boca Chica Resorts and Hotels

There are few Boca Chica resorts and hotels available for your sportfishing adventure so it is best to make your choice and reserve early.

They vary in terms of luxury, amenities and location. They all have waterfront views but a couple of them can be accessed by car, others by boat. Contact us to inquire about availability.

Here's a brief recap of what's available:

Seagull Cove Lodge

This hotel is brand new (around December 2006) and was constructed with modern amenities (including wireless internet in the lounge). The main lodge offers a nice restaurant, bar and lounge/library which all have views overlooking Panama shores. The views also overlook a lovely tiled swimming pool.

Seagull Cove Lodge has five cottages (four with Queen sized beds, one with 2xdoubles) scattered down the hill toward the beach. Each cottage his a panoramic Panama oceanfront view of the Pacific and nearby islands. The cottages are equipped with ceiling fans, air-conditioning, satellite TV, security safes, and wall-mounted hair dryers.

Despite its modern-ness, the Boca Chica resort and hotel is in complete harmony with nature. In balance with its eco-friendliness, the resort's restaurant offers European dishes prepared with local, fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Cala Mia Boutique Resort

Nestled within the Archipelago of Chiriqui, Cala Mia slightly away from other Boca Chica resorts. It is situated on one of the islands within the National Marina Park in the gulf of Chiriqui. There are countless remote beaches and over 100 islands within the area.

Cala Mia is serenely beautiful. Also constructed recently on an unspoiled island with natural materials, you will feel indulged by the beauty and simplicity of its tasteful natural designs. The resort has 11 cottages, all with fabulous ocean views. Cala Mia is truly an escape from the busy world, and you will really be able to disconnect here.

A separate bar/restaurant with 360 degree design promotes breathtaking views of neighboring coves and islands, a private beach, and a gorgeous freshwater pool. Meals are delicately prepared to offer you the finest in quality and taste: most of the ingredients are from our own - organic - vegetable-garden and farm!

A spa and yoga exercise center is located on a small island connected by a hanging bridge.

Cala Mia is endowed by nature with several types of monkeys, birds, turtles, and dolphins which call the island their home in paradise.

Wahoo Willy's

Located centrally in the town of Boca Chica, right beside the pier, is Wahoo Willy's.

Basic, but complete, there are five clean rooms which are air-conditioned. Three of the rooms have balcony views over the waterfront.

A comfortable restaurant and bar are located on the premises and offer daily seafood meals with fish and lobster brought in by local fisherman.

This hotel is inexpensive, but practical and comfortable.

Frank's - Hotel Boca Brava

Frank is a German transplant who started this really interesting and simple hotel on the island of Boca Brava, just across from Boca Chica.

Many people love the place because it has fantastic views, offers basic accomodation (shared), and suits the need for inexpensive accomodation. Inexpensive is the operative word but don't underestimate this place. The food is excellent, and the views and wildlife surrounding the hotel, are superb.
